Eldon Arthur

Eldon Teske was born to Eleanora (nee Brumm) and Max Teske at Inlet, Quebec in the municipality of Mulgrave and Derry on November 13, 1916.

Eldon enlisted in the army at the age of 25 on March 26 1942. Shortly after basic training in Canada, he was shipped off to Europe to join the active combat troops.

Eldon was in Armoured Corps (Army) as a Trooper Tank Driver. He served in Canada, France, Germany, and Italy.

Eldon returned to Canada in December 1946 and was honourably discharged on February 12, 1946.

After some well deserved rest and recovery, Eldon gained employment as a mill-rite at the James MacLaren Pulp and Paper Company in Masson, Quebec where he worked until retirement.

He married Toni Forcier (now deceased).

Eldon passed away on April 15, 1982 and is resting at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church Cemetery at Inlet, Quebec.
